Medium Risk

Rhode Island Voter ID Laws:

In-Person Voter ID: Medium - Photo ID requested, but a voter can still vote a signed provisional ballot if no photo ID is presented. If the signature on the ballot matches the voter registration signature, the ballot will count.

Absentee/Mail Voting Voter ID: Strong - Two witness signatures or a notary signature is required for the returned ballot. The voter’s signature on the returned ballot will also be compared to the signature on the application.
